We’re always overjoyed to hear of new Rock n Roll bands coming together, and when they’re sharing selfies at the ace Stourbridge Studios and feature a Bitter Lemon on drums? That’s definitely more than enough to get our ears pricked up. Featuring Pete Taylor (bass), Caroline Tsang (vocals), Michelle Dawes (drums), Matt Porter (keyboard) and Gordon McEwen (guitar and sax), Dead Betty’s serving up fresh, smoky Rock n Roll.

‘Bopcatz Stomp’, released on 22nd May, captures the retro cool which so many bands chase, bouncing between smooth vocals and hot guitar solos with ease in sunny, vibrant style. If you want the atmosphere of getting ready for an amazing evening at the hop bottled into a couple of minutes, then this is what you need to listen to – anticipation pours from every second. It’s the kind of song that serves an intriguing opening salvo, a confident serve from a band who could easily deliver a seriously nice first EP to make a mark on the UK scene.

If they’re playing in your area, check them out for bragging rights – you saw them before they got famous!
