It’s been over a year since ‘Nightmare Reborn’ was released, and De La Rocka cemented himself as the act to watch on the European Psychobilly scene. Now, he’s back with a new single and a familiar collaborator jumping in on vocals.

Any of De La Rocka’s tracks with Dax Dragster of Godless Wicked Creeps are ace, and ‘The Vampire’ is no exception. Of course, there’s horror drama, spiky backing vocals and guitar lines to whip a pit into a frenzy, but there’s also a rich, absorbing quality that sucks you into a fantasy world for a couple of minutes. It’s a song to make you sit up and pay attention, and one you’ll drop on repeat to fully appreciate.

B-Side ‘Lady Luck’ brings a totally different and equally potent energy. If you loved ‘The Rattlesnake’, De La Rocka’s collaboration with Peter Sandorff, then you’ll be digging this song: dark country melodrama with a dynamite guitar solo and a clashing tumbleweed chorus that’ll be echoing in your ears for days.

We’re crossing our fingers that a new single means a followup to ‘Nightmare Reborn’ is on its way, but for now, we’re soaking up this fantastic single from De La Rocka.
