‘It’s All Changed’ is the brilliant new album from Kent-based rockabilly singer Lew Lewis. The band that Lew has managed to assemble for this recording is quite remarkable. Starting at the back with Darrel Higham and Bamboozle veteran on the drums in the form of Les Curtis; he doesn’t put a stick wrong. On double bass is Kieran King and on guitar is the positively stellar Dragon Zac Zdravkovic. All of the songs are Lewis originals and there is not a duffer on here.

‘It’s All Changed’ features exceptional musicianship with twangy baritone guitar and staccato rhythm playing.

‘Fine Looking Lady’ delightful rockabilly, wonderful guitar playing and very fine vocals.

‘This is How I Feel’ is a Buddy Holly-esque gem.

‘Broken’ is a tremendous song that features vocals that sound rather like Nick 13 of Tiger Army.

‘Drive You Insane’ Is old school country with fantastic guitar playing.

‘Live Each Day’ Is a very breezy country number again it features some delightful guitar playing.

‘When I’m With You’ is a more up-tempo rocker, with traces of Johnny Cash’s ‘Cry, Cry, Cry’.

‘Love Some More’ features tremolo effect on guitar, like ‘Tornado’, also some nice use of harmonica. It’s a very well-structured song with excellent bass and guitar playing.

‘You’re The One for Me’ Is a nice rockabilly number with stop and starts.

‘How Could You Love Me’ is a very nice country number, with use of steel guitar that is out of the top drawer.

‘Yes Indeed’ a wonderful traditional rockabilly number with appropriately fantastic guitar.

Lew Lewis has a splendid voice. He and his band have created an album that is well-produced and is sonically spot on. For lovers of rockabilly music with a country tinge, this is a must have.
