The legends of Psychomania Rumble return with a gorgeously trashy three track release, featuring two originals and a song that’s become such an anthem for Potsdam’s finest that it may as well have been written by them.

‘It Came From Hell’ is swampy, horror-tinged gold with the classic twang that we love about Thee Flanders. They always capture shoutalong choruses and lurid details in a way that never grows stale, painting the technicolour monsters that lurk in their basslines in the brightest shades. There’s no fear to be had from the ‘Evil in Human Shape’ that powers the second track, but there’s a hell of a lot of powerful wreckin bass and a growl from Norman ready to start a pit. Darkness abounds with a ferocious, galloping beat that captures their live energy to a tee. It’s their cover of Ramones’ ‘Somebody Put Something In My Drink’, a live favourite with a lightning guitar solo that’s been transformed into a psychobilly anthem, that showcases their innovation and gives you the closest possible impression to the joy of a Flanders live set.
If you’re new to Thee Flanders, this is the perfect primer for what the cult German favourites are all about: lurid details, heart-pounding beats, and an unparalleled addictive energy.
