The band has a very distinctive sound, that rather defies comparison. The band’s self-description as ‘blues, skiffle, calypso and rockabilly with a creepy vaudeville twist’ is as accurate as any that I have seen.

Sold his Soul – a very good blues number with the sax used very nicely. The addition of sax player Stephane Spitz on baritone sax is a very welcome one.
Why did You Do – the guitar and sax create a nice riff on top of which Jo Carley’s voice establishes a nice melody.
Lover Love Spell – has a sort of polka feel to it, a very nice vocal performance.
The Curse – has a tremendous groove and a very effective sax part. It has a splendid chorus and is an altogether wonderful song.
The Dread – Spooky, eastern style melody rather like Megadeth’s Secret Place. It’s instrumental.
Devil In Tow – wonderful groove, saxophone is excellent as is the reverb drenched guitar.
Only When the Moon Is Full – a sax-driven number that grooves along very nicely.
So You Can Have Your Wish – just vocal and acoustic guitar, it’s quite spooky.
When the Dead Start Walking -guitar, double bass and percussion with what sounds like a mandolin and a repeated vocal line that creates a nice groove.
Do the Graveyard Twist–a splendid number.
Our Black Magic Solutions – Is a sort of outro number
Songwriters Jo and Tim Carley have fashioned a really quite fantastic set of songs here.Think of the swampy sounds of New Orleans and drag it through the pubs of London via a blues club or three and you are half-way there. I look forward to seeing them live again soon.
