DIY Voodoo has never sounded quite as good as when Jo Carley and the Old Dry Skulls exhume it! They’re kickstarting this year as they mean to go on with a double A-Side ready to rattle your bones and shake your soul!

As a first song with a new lineup goes, ‘Only When The Moon Is Full’ is a cracker: crammed with wailing vocals, soulful sax and a rickety, theatrical blues energy, and enough spirit to shake your metaphorical shack!

On the flip side, we’ve got ‘The Zombie (Reanimated)’, and they’ve dialed the drama up to eleven. Expect creeping Zombie rhythms with a Music Hall style that evokes classic horror hits and saxophone for days. It’s shoulder-shaking washboard fun from a bygone age!

If this is your first adventure into the horror groovin’ world of Jo Carley and the Old Dry Skulls, there isn’t much of a better primer out there. With a whole year of touring and recording planned, even the recently deceased don’t have an excuse to miss out on their truly original stylings.
